This is FANTASTIC! There is so much emotion in this. I love every bit of it. Dragons are beautiful but fierce creatures and you have captured both sides in this piece perfectly. The texture and loose strokes really give it a grungy feel that completes it. I'm always jealous of a good digital painter. You definitely have some serious skill in the trade. The only thing I feel could change is that lightening bult. It feels a bit of place in my opinion. Perhaps have two smaller ones placed asymmetrically in the background? Regardless I want this on my wall.
There is one in my scraps gallery, it is a tribute to my friend. It was taken with a 6x7 mamya many years ago. I believe it is the last picture in my scraps gallery. Don't or comment on it OK? It is a very hard for me to even mention it.
Dark rooms are very cool to work in, I spent many happy months training in them. The college where I was at reminded me of a science fiction movie. The doors to the darkrooms rotated so only one person could enter at a time, but light was always kept out. A very neat design.
I hope you enjoy the work there, what you will learn can also be applied to digital work, like how to control detail and contrast.
wow they have that same kind of door at the junior high At first we just worked with pinhole cameras, then with Canon Rebel somethings (also film)... now we are into digital, but I am doing my final project with film because I love dodging and burning. It is a very interesting process, and teaches patience.
